Funding Opportunities
There are many different sources of funding available to support UK and international students in Biological Anthropology, but full scholarships are highly competitive. The Department of Archaeology enters exceptionally strong candidates for Gates US, Gates International, AHRC, NERC, BBSRC and ESRC scholarships, students from African countries for Mastercard Foundation Scholarships, as well as scholarship schemes administered by the Cambridge Trust, among others.
The Department of Archaeology also administers several funds which aim to support fieldwork and lab work, and endeavours to support students in obtaining funding from University, College and external sources.
