Please note
Postgraduate students applying to undertake a doctoral degree at Cambridge will no longer have to pay a fee to submit their application to study at Cambridge. This will come into effect from the 2022/23 application cycle, for admissions in 2023/24. The University will also reduce the application fee for non-doctoral postgraduate study to £50.
The above changes do not apply to applications for courses admitted by the Judge Business School (MBA, eMBA, Global MBA, MFin, MAcc).
Application Fee Waivers
The application fee is a standard charge that supports the administration of the application process and the development and maintenance of the systems used in this process. This helps us to ensure that applicants receive a positive admissions experience. To ensure a good standard of service while being fair and consistent to all our applicants, it is the policy of the Postgraduate Admissions Office not to waive the application fee, unless the applicant falls into one of the categories below. It is not possible to apply for an application fee waiver under any other circumstances.
Application fee waiver deadlines
We have removed the deadline to apply for an application fee waiver for the 2022-23 admission cycle. However, please do ensure that you allow sufficient time, at least 10 working days, for the assessment of your request in order to submit your application before the course deadlines.
If you intend to apply for funding you must still apply for your fee waiver by the following deadlines to ensure that your application can be submitted by the funding application deadlines:
1st December for the December funding application deadline of 2nd December 2021.
21st December 2021 for the January funding application deadline of 6th January 2022.
