When considering your College choices you will need to think carefully about your accommodation requirements if you have disclosed a disability. Please note that most Colleges have a mixture of accommodation, much of which is not on-site. Even where a College appears to be fairly central, the accommodation it is able to provide may not be.
If you are awarded funding from one of the seven main Research Councils, you will be eligible to apply for Disabled Students' Allowances (DSAs) from your funding body.
If you are made an offer of admission and you have disclosed a disability, specific learning difficulty or long-term health condition, the Accessibility & Disability Resource Centre (ADRC) will be sent the disclosure information. They will then contact you by email to discuss your particular requirements and offer advice and guidance.
The University of Cambridge welcomes applications from disabled students including those with a specific learning difficulty or a long-term health condition (including mental health difficulties) and considers them on the same academic grounds as all other candidates.
The Accessibility & Disability Resource Centre (ADRC) provides advice, information and support to disabled students and those staff supporting them. The DRC has specialist advisers who can assist in providing information and arranging appropriate support to enable you to facilitate your effective study here.
