Teaching
The course is composed of two key elements:
The "Psychology and Education" thematic route
The research methods training course
Teaching time is split between the two elements: (1) lectures, seminars, and workshops in the psychology of education, and (2) lectures and practicals in educational research methods. The course also includes supervisions.
One to one supervision | A total of 8 hours of supervision with a member of academic or research staff. These comprise a mixture of small group and 1:1 discussions over the two years. The University of Cambridge publishes an annual Code of Practice which sets out the University’s expectations regarding supervision. |

Seminars & classes | The course involves 72 hours of face-to-face teaching over two years. This is made up of a mixture of lectures and small group seminars. Teaching sessions take place in the Faculty, once a week (on Wednesday afternoons from 2pm) in the Michaelmas and Lent terms. There is only a small amount of teaching in the Easter term. |
