We have a great social scene here. There’s loads going on within the University and Colleges, and with students accounting for about a fifth of the city’s overall population, Cambridge is a great place to be a student.
"What can I say about Cambridge?
Cambridge offers a range of precious opportunities for personal growth and professional development. Taught and research programmes, such as Master’s and PhD degrees, encompass a broad range of academic disciplines, and you will be taught by knowledgeable academics, many of whom are prominent experts and leaders in their field. Faculties and Colleges provide the best environment to challenge and deepen your knowledge, as well as to interact with diverse groups of people.
Student life in and around Cambridge is also vibrant. You will find a number of societies, festivals, museums, clubs, restaurants, sports, shopping centres, and much more. However you like to spend your time, there’s always something happening to keep you entertained and to meet new people.
Your Students’ Union, the Graduate Union (GU), works exclusively with postgraduate and mature students. As officers elected by you, our focus is on four key areas: representation, services, welfare and events. You are welcome to visit the GU office and have a chat with the Team.
The GU Team wishes you all the best."
