There are several external websites or publications providing funding searches. We recommend you use the links below when researching how to fund your studies.

The Alternative Guide to Postgraduate Funding

A useful database for exploring alternative funding opportunities. The University has purchased a license to the Guide, so it's free for all students and staff to use. Applicants who do not yet have a University email account should email altguide.pgfunding@admin.cam.ac.uk to receive an access pin. Current Cambridge students and staff can use their University email address to register online for access to the Guide.

British Council - StudyUK

Their ‘Scholarships and funding’ webpage provides information on country specific funding and funding opportunities for international students.

European Funding Guide

This guide provides advice and listings of scholarships and grants for European students.

FindAMasters and FindAPhD

Both of these award £12,000 in scholarships to prospective students each year.

The Grants Register

The register includes information on postgraduate and professional funding worldwide. Your University Library or Careers Service or the British Council in your country may have a copy that you could consult.

International Education Financial Aid (IEFA)

This is a search tool and information source for international scholarships and grants.
