Apply using the Applicant Portal

The Apply Now button on the right will take you to the Applicant Portal. There, you can create and submit your application and supporting documents, and you can also request your references.

An application is only complete when:

  1. you have submitted your application and supporting documents via the Applicant Portal
  2. you have paid the application fee if applicable. For further information on application fees, and which courses require an application fee, see here.
  3. your referees have provided their references.

Your application must include:

  • Copies of relevant academic qualification certificates and transcripts, including from the PG Diploma or PG Diploma (flexible) in Genomic Medicine studied at The University of Cambridge
  • Relevant professional qualifications or memberships with documentary evidence A professional CV
  • Language proficiency (if required)
  • Contact details of two referees who will be contacted on your behalf Evidence of funding (if applicable)
  • Employer Support Letter
  • CV

As part of your application you will be asked to indicate a preference for which modules you would like to take during your course. Please note that should you be made an offer, the course team will make contact with further information, including teaching dates and any modules to be taken as part of HEE funding requirements, to support you with firming up your choices.

Selection Process

Applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible in order to be considered for a place and potentially be made an offer. Applications will be considered on a rolling basis with the final deadline being the 28th May. Interviews may take place throughout the application window and are held at the discretion of the Course Director.

Gates Cambridge Scholarships

If you wish to be considered for a Gates Cambridge Scholarship you will also need to provide the following:

  • Gates Cambridge Reference
  • Research Proposal (PhD applicants only)

How to Find a Supervisor

Each student has a named supervisor and will work with them to identify preferred ways of working (face to face or remote supervision) and patterns of supervision over the year. The supervisor will be agreed by the course director following discussion with, and based upon the research interest of, the student.
