Funding Opportunities
Please be aware that this is not a funded PhD. If you are interested in applying for this course of study it is vital that you work with the supervisor supporting your application to secure funding.
The CIMR have no available funds to support three-year PhD students, although studentships funded by medical charities or other sources may be available within individual research groups. Applications can also be considered from students with a good prospect of securing their own funding, for example, through awards from the University Trusts and other scholarships.
Applicants must secure the support of a supervisor within a laboratory before their application will be considered. A list of supervisors in the Cambridge Institute of Medical Research (CIMR) can be found here https://www.cimr.cam.ac.uk/sd-classification/principal-investigators
Applicants should name their potential supervisor and provide a short description of the research area in their application form.
