Apply using the Applicant Portal
The Apply Now button on the right will take you to the Applicant Portal. There, you can create and submit your application and supporting documents, and you can also request your references.
An application is only complete when:
- you have submitted your application and supporting documents via the Applicant Portal
- you have paid the application fee if applicable. For further information on application fees, and which courses require an application fee, see here.
- your referees have provided their references.
Selection Process
Applications are considered monthly between September and May. You should expect to hear whether you have been successful within twelve weeks following the submission of your completed application and required supporting documents. If your application has been shortlisted for interview this will be communicated to you shortly after the application has been evaluated.

You should start preparing the things that you'll need when you apply. These will be mandatory, unless specifically flagged as optional.

- Evidence of competence in English

Please provide information about your motivation for applying for this course and outline relevant experience and interests. Applicants should use this section to indicate their preferred research topic in the Energy Materials area. Providing this information is non-binding and will ensure that their application can be forwarded to an appropriate academic for consideration. - Core - Research Experience (2500 characters) (mandatory)
Please describe any research projects that you are currently, or have previously, undertaken. - Core - Sample of Work (1) (document upload) (mandatory)

You are not required to contact supervisors. The course director and co-directors are assigned as "Supervisor" for all students admitted on the Course.
