Postgraduate Study

“The MPhil in Energy Technologies gives you a broad technical understanding of key topics in the energy sector, whilst challenging you to think of their role within the wider energy transition. The course is full of opportunities to delve deeper into areas of particular interest, and the final research project challenges you to develop the ideas developed in this course into your own unique piece of work. I could not recommend this course more for someone trying to build a strong foundation for a career in energy.”

Edmondo Strada (Sept. 30, 2023)

“I chose the Energy Technologies MPhil because I was interested in energy and renewable technologies and hadn't been able to specialise in that area during my BS in Mechanical Engineering. I entered with quite a narrow view and understanding of the energy landscape, but the course helped open my eyes to the wide world of energy and challenged my notions of what was actually practical and possible. It provided not only illuminating big-picture views, but also a strong fundamental scientific basis for understanding how different technologies work in detail. I enjoyed the small-team-based coursework the best, because we got the opportunity to learn from each other, bond through the experience and present as a team.”
