Economics is no longer accepting new applications.

Starting the PhD course in macroeconomics in Cambridge may have been the best profession-related decision I've ever made. Now halfway through it, it already feels like a lifetime investment. While the tough and fast-paced MPhils give one the foundation for research, the doctoral programme teaches students how to actually live with the realities of such an undertaking. I managed to narrow down the field I am passionate about, what skills are essential to it and whom among the faculty can support my growth. The journey is not only about the student and their supervisor, but also about the whole Cambridge community, with the faculty and the peers providing an amazing amount of formal and informal support. Finally, the fact that Cambridge is a small but vibrant town is yet another reason to seriously consider it - something exciting is always happening somewhere close by, across colleges and departments!
