Apply using the Applicant Portal
The Apply Now button on the right will take you to the Applicant Portal. There, you can create and submit your application and supporting documents, and you can also request your references.
An application is only complete when:
- you have submitted your application and supporting documents via the Applicant Portal
- you have paid the application fee if applicable. For further information on application fees, and which courses require an application fee, see here.
- your referees have provided their references.
If you miss the deadlines specified in this section, you will not be able to submit your application.
Application Support
Applicants to this course may be eligible to receive support with their application via the AIM: Master's programme. Find out more about AIM: Master's here: https://www.csah.cam.ac.uk/Education/aim-masters.
Selection Process
Applications are considered on a rolling basis until the deadline. The Faculty aims to consider all applications within 12 weeks. Many applicants will receive a decision earlier than this. For those applicants who do not receive a decision within 12 weeks, your application has been placed on a reserve list. To find out the status of your application, please contact the Faculty.
Interviews for those being made an offer will be conducted either online or in person.

In order to apply for this course you'll need to think about getting a few things ready before you apply.

- Evidence of competence in English

Please upload a research proposal of around 500 words. - Sample of Work (2) (document upload) (mandatory)
Please upload either one or two essays, or part of a thesis. Written work should total no more than 6,000 words

How to Find a Supervisor
Before starting the application process applicants can contact a potential Supervisor to discuss their dissertation proposal. Information about the Faculty's lecturers can be found in the 'People' section on the website. Use the email addresses listed to contact a potential Supervisor.
