Apply using the Applicant Portal
The Apply Now button on the right will take you to the Applicant Portal. There, you can create and submit your application and supporting documents, and you can also request your references.
An application is only complete when:
- you have submitted your application and supporting documents via the Applicant Portal
- you have paid the application fee if applicable. For further information on application fees, and which courses require an application fee, see here.
- your referees have provided their references.
If you miss the deadlines specified in this section, you will not be able to submit your application.
Selection Process
Applications are considered on a rolling basis until the application deadline. The Faculty aim to consider all applications within 12 weeks. Many applicants will receive a decision earlier than this. For those applicants who do not receive a decision within 12 weeks, your application has been placed on a reserve list, if this is the case you can find the status of your application by contacting the Faculty on graduate-secretary@divinity.cam.ac.uk.
Interviews for those being made an offer will be conducted either by Skype or in person.

Things You'll Need
In order to apply for this course you'll need to think about getting a few things ready before you apply.
- Two academic references
- Transcript
- CV/resume
- Evidence of competence in English
If required - you can check using our tool - Statement of Interest (2500 characters) (mandatory)
A statement of your interest in this course, of around 250 words. - Sample of Work (2) (document upload) (mandatory)
Either one or two essays, or a thesis (part). Written work should be between 25 and 30 pages long. - Research Proposal (document upload) (mandatory)
A research proposal of around 250 words on the topic you wish to study for your dissertation.
