Students wishing to undertake research or fieldwork in Latin America will incur costs for flights, accommodation and subsistence. There are funding sources available to which students may apply for support with fieldwork costs, including the Simon Bolivar Fund (administered by the Centre of Latin American Studies) and College travel grants and research expenses schemes. However, students should not expect all of the costs of their research trip to be covered. If you have any concerns about this please speak to a member of CLAS staff before applying. Note that research abroad is not a mandatory part of the MPhil course.
