Total Annual Commitment £28,824

Our postgraduate students have access to a shared working space with networked computing facilities. However, most find it useful to work with their own laptops.

While our libraries are excellent, most students purchase books for their own use. Some research projects will require one or more of the following: fieldwork, visits and research overseas, specialist software, equipment and materials, and the participation of (paid) volunteers. These can sometimes add significant costs to the research.

The Faculty strongly advises that students plan in advance for all necessary research funding to the extent possible. If your project depends on such funds' availability, you should discuss its viability in advance with your intended Supervisor.

If you study part-time, guidance on calculation of your maintenance costs can be found here: Maintenance costs for part-time students | Postgraduate Study (cam.ac.uk)
