MPhil in Political Thought and Intellectual History

Studying the MPhil in Political Thought and Intellectual History has been one of the most intellectually rewarding and formative experiences of my life. Engaging with the depth and methodological rigour of the Cambridge School has fundamentally reshaped how I approach the history of political thought. The course strikes an excellent balance between support and independence. Supervision is consistently generous and thoughtful, while also allowing for the flexibility to shape and pursue my specific research interests. The weekly seminars, together with the wide range of lectures and classes across the University, create a vibrant and stimulating intellectual environment. Just as importantly, the diversity of the cohort makes it a genuinely rewarding community. For these reasons and many more, the MPhil has strongly encouraged me to continue pursuing academic research through a PhD.
