Expected Academic Standard
Applicants for this course should have achieved a UK Good II.i Honours Degree.
If your degree is not from the UK, please check International Qualifications to find the equivalent in your country.
The MRC Epidemiology Unit offers a three-year PhD programme for those students who already have a master's degree or equivalent training in an appropriate scientific discipline. Applicants who do not have a master's degree or equivalent are encouraged to consider first undertaking the MPhil in Population Health Sciences course, which we co-lead. The academic requirement for entry to our PhD course is that students undertaking the MPhil in Population Health Sciences in Cambridge should pass the course at their first attempt (i.e. not require a viva).
