Expected Academic Standard

Applicants for this course should have achieved a UK Masters (Merit).

If your degree is not from the UK, please check International Qualifications to find the equivalent in your country.

For applicants that have studied the MPhil by Thesis at Cambridge, they must have achieved a Pass, an overall mark of at least 70% and, where available, a dissertation mark of at least 70. For those who have not studied at Cambridge, you must have achieved a Merit in a taught Master's degree in a relevant subject, with an overall mark of at least 67% and dissertation mark of at least 67.

Applications will be judged on past academic performance and the quality and originality of the research proposal; we may also consider your employment history, previous research experience, publications, etc.
