Applicants for this course should have achieved a UK High II.i Honours Degree.

IMPORTANT: This course is only open to students who have completed the Postgraduate Advanced Certificate in Educational Studies (PACES) at the Faculty of Education.

The route is aimed at a wide UK and international audience including practitioners studying part-time as well as full-time students. It is of relevance and interest to teachers (i.e. middle and senior leaders, heads/principals, specialist and system leaders, governors and administrators), as well as to graduate students with the relevant career experience (see below) who are interested in the area of educational leadership and improvement. We draw on participants' wide range of experiences, and students pursue their particular interest by undertaking an individual empirical research projects.
Relevant experience
Candidates applying for the route would normally be expected to have been in a teaching or educational role for at least three years, and to have experience of exercising leadership beyond the classroom – often but not exclusively through formal positions of responsibility.
