Apply using the Applicant Portal
The Apply Now button on the right will take you to the Applicant Portal. There, you can create and submit your application and supporting documents, and you can also request your references.
An application is only complete when:
- you have submitted your application and supporting documents via the Applicant Portal
- you have paid the application fee if applicable. For further information on application fees, and which courses require an application fee, see here.
- your referees have provided their references.
If you miss the deadlines specified in this section, you will not be able to submit your application.
IMPORTANT: This course is only open to students who have completed the Postgraduate Advanced Certificate in Educational Studies (PACES) at the Faculty of Education.
Selection Process
Applications are considered in three batches; firstly after the 1st December 2022, then 24th February 2023 and after the application deadline of 16th May. It is possible that some applications from the first batch are held for consideration in the second batch. This route may fill up well ahead of the advertised closing date. You are advised to apply by the December deadline if possible and if you are also applying for funding it is essential to have you application submitted no later than 2nd December. We aim to make decisions on applications within 12 weeks of the applicable application batch deadline. Interviews are usually conducted via a video web link such as MS Teams, Zoom or Skype.
- Written task
You are required to complete a written task which may be discussed with you if you are interviewed for the course. You must upload it along with your application documents. The task can be found within the Key Facts box here.

How to Find a Supervisor
There is no requirement to secure a supervisor as part of the application process. Supervisors will be allocated to students shortly after the start of term.
