Postgraduate Admissions

The Certificate is for candidates who wish to undertake research in theology and religious studies but do not have the research experience to be admitted directly to the PhD programme. The Certificate can under some circumstances be counted towards the requirements for the PhD degree if the student is allowed to continue to the PhD.

Candidates submit a dissertation of not more than 10,000 words on a subject approved by the degree committee.  There is an oral examination on the dissertation and the general field of knowledge in which the dissertation falls.
